Using remnant or discounted upholstery fabric is a great way to get value for your decorating budget dollars. Many time those little extra touches that add pizazze to your decor require very small amounts of fabric. Perfect for remnant pieces! For example, a half yard of fabric will generally make you a throw pillow, or if you can come up with only one 18 inch square you can still make a throw pillow but will have to use a cheaper co-ordinating fabric as a back.
Table runners, window toppers and even artwork can all be made with excess bits of fabric.
